A Masterclass is a viola lesson with an audience.  3 students will be picked to perform a solo piece for the masterclass with Karen Dreyfus at Violafest.

ViolaFest Masterclass participants are typically advanced level students working on sonatas, concertos, or solo Bach.

MASTERCLASS/ SUMMER SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFORMATION

Eligibility:  You must register as a ViolaFest 2023 participant to be eligible.  Please include your age, name, and titles of your selections in the email.

To apply:  Email a Youtube Link to violafest@socalviolasociety.org of two contrasting selections with or without piano accompaniment by February 5, 2023. Set the privacy setting to “public”.  In the email subject line, write “Violafest 2023 Masterclass- (YOUR NAME)”

Award:  You will be notified by the end of February 2023 the results of the video auditions.  The same recording can be used for the summer scholarship submission.
