Fiddle Class

Who says violins are the only ones that get to have fun fiddling? They’re NOT!

Violists can fiddle and play folk music too and today we will learn a beginner friendly American folk tune by ear and be able to play it by the end of the hour. There will be sheet music but it won’t be handed out till the end of class. The class will be taught by ear which is a fundamental  part of learning folk music.

Sound Production in Bach cello suites

We will delve into the art of producing a Baroque sound in the Bach Suites, exploring techniques such as utilizing a modern bow and navigating the nuances of vibrato in its application or omission.

Transitioning to the Dark Side:  Viola for Violinists

Violinists come one, come all to experience the chocolate sound of the viola (and who doesn’t like chocolate??) You don’t even have to own a viola, thanks to Metzler’s Shop in Glendale. Violas will be provided for all interested violinists. Save the Galaxy and join the Dark Side to unlock the mysteries of the Alto clef! *ALL students required to sign up for the “Violin to Viola” track as their level.
