Violafest 2025 Postponed

Home

Dear ViolaFest Community,

We hope this message finds you well in the midst of what has been a truly challenging time for so many. It is with a heavy heart that we write to inform you that the upcoming ViolaFest Los Angeles, scheduled for February 2, 2025, at Crossroads School for the Arts, has been postponed due to the devastating wildfires affecting Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and the surrounding areas.

The fires have impacted our community in profound ways. Many of our friends, colleagues, and neighbors have lost their homes, while others are still grappling with the aftermath and are focused on providing support to those in need. The well-being of all those involved in this event—our performers, attendees, and volunteers—are our top priority, and the situation makes it difficult to move forward with the festival as originally planned.

As much as we were looking forward to celebrating music and community with you all, we recognize that the most urgent need right now is to offer help and solidarity to those who are struggling. Many in our ViolaFest family have been directly affected by the fires, and many more are working tirelessly to support those who have lost everything.

We will be working to reschedule ViolaFest to a later date when it is feasible for everyone to participate. For students or auditors who have already registered, refunds will be made available to those who are unable to attend the soon-to-be rescheduled date.  We will keep you updated on new developments and our plans to bring our community together again at a future time.

In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay safe and support those in need in any way you can. For those who are looking for ways to help or donate to those affected by the fires, feel free to reach out to us for resources.

We are deeply grateful for your understanding and support during this difficult period. We look forward to gathering with you all when the time is right.

Sincerely,
Southern California Viola Society
